About
Terranoux builds AI for creating things in the physical world.
An AI-native engineering company. The aim is a system that can take an idea and carry it through design, simulation, experiment, prototype, validation and manufacture.
The thesis
Most physical ideas never get built.
Software can be written, tested and shipped by a small team in days. A physical product still needs engineers, CAD specialists, simulation, material selection, suppliers, prototypes, testing and manufacturing expertise. Each step is a different tool, a different person and a handoff where context is lost.
AI can already generate designs that look right. Looking right is the easy part. A physical design has to survive loads, heat, wear, tolerances, cost and a factory, and the only way to know is to model it, test it and measure it.
That calls for a system that reasons across the whole engineering loop, uses simulation and experiments as tools, and changes its mind when evidence disagrees.
Terranoux is being built to be that system.

Three systems
Discover. Govern. Build.
Three different problems, kept apart on purpose. Each is useful on its own, and they are stronger together.
- 01Discover
What should we understand?
Notices what is uncertain or failing, forms hypotheses and weighs evidence.
- 02Govern
What may AI do?
Identity, permissions, budgets, approvals, policy and audit for AI actions.
- 03Build
Terranoux
How do we make it real?
Engineers ideas into designs, simulations, experiments, prototypes and products.
- Aletheonix · discover
- Finds what is worth understanding, such as a material failing unexpectedly under certain conditions.
- LucidRail · govern
- Decides what AI may do: purchases, equipment operation, experiments and orders.
- Terranoux · build
- Works out how to make it real, from human ideas directly or from what Aletheonix finds.
What Terranoux is not
- Lab safety software.
- A robotics company.
- An experiment API.
- A chatbot on top of CAD.
Current state
Early companyTerranoux is early. The work today is research, architecture, prototypes and early engineering systems. We do not operate laboratories, factories or robot fleets, and we do not claim customers.
The direction is a system that moves increasingly far from idea to production, with people approving every consequential step.
If you design physical products, run test equipment, manufacture parts or research any of the open problems, we would like to hear where this breaks.
